Roydon Early Years - November 2012

I contacted the group a few months ago regarding the fundraising week we were organising in aid of yourselves and to raise awareness around World Diabetes Day. We did a penny snake, raffles, name the meerkat, exercise vs food day, dress in blue day and lots more.

We have a little boy aged 3 who has type 1 diabetes and who has become a total inspiration to all of the staff at pre-school. I was in the priviledged position to accompany him yesterday to finally get his insulin pump fitted and to learn all about how to programme and change it. He has made such a difference to us all and is truly inspirational in that he just takes everything in his stride and doesn't let his condition rule him.

So we have made our donation to you and really hope that it can go towards making a difference to the children involved in your group.

Many Thanks and a very Merry Christmas to you all - keep up the good work!

Tammy Batchelor (Roydon Early Years)

The Bush Public House, Costessey - September 2010

Three members of the committee were delighted to receive a cheque from Debbie Smith and Emma for the fantastic sum of £1,605. This will help subsidise the events that we put on for the children of the Youth Group and is very welcome.

Our thanks on behalf of the group go to everyone that contributed.

Roydon Primary School - June 2010

The committee was touched to receive the following letter together with £34.02 which was raised by selling ice-cream on their business day.

Please be assured Bobby, Finlay and Jake that we will spend the money wisely.

Thank you to everyone involved, in particular the three future "Apprentices".

Waitrose donate £330 from Community Matters Programme

Waitrose Supermarket in Eaton kindly donated £330 to the Norwich and District Youth Group

through their ‘Community Matters’ initiative, where each month £1000 is distributed amongst three local charities.

Shoppers can help vote on how the sum is divided between the three chosen organisations. Gail Howes accepted the cheque on behalf of the Youth Group from Sally West-Lindell at Waitrose.

Many thanks to all concerned.

Fishing Magic - James Farrow Memorial Match at Todber. 2009

For the last few years the James Farrow Memorial Fishing Event has raised money for the Youth Group.  This year they did yet another amazing job of raising £2,000 which we have received over the last few weeks.  We were astonished by the amount raised and this wonderful donation raised by everyone who was involved in the event really is an amazing amount and will be put towards our forthcoming Childrens Christmas Party

I attach a link to the site showing more information around the event. Once again thanks to all involved and for the wonderful donation and especially to Richard and Di Farrow for their support with our group. Check out the Fishing event here: http://www.fishingmagic.com/news
