Welcome to the Norwich and District Diabetes Youth Group Website

We are a voluntary group of parents and friends who offer support for families, raise funds for local hospitals and organise fun activities for children with diabetes and their families.

Welcome to the Norwich and District Diabetes Youth Group Website. This site is for members and their families to use to see the activities we are organising, get information and also to help each other understand the best ways of handling and controlling diabetes.

Our members range from 1yr to 17yr and benefit from lots of networking and support through subsidised group fun activities.

Our Facebook page is where you will find loads of information, photos of previous events and perhaps more importantly, you can get support from people who are in a similar situation as you.

Not only do we organise fun events for all the family but we also support Diabetes UK by sponsoring a research project annually for research into juvenile diabetes.

We also fund W H Smith's vouchers or equivalent to reward our brave young people who have begun to do their own testing and/or injections.

Our year ends with our annual Christmas Party with a professional disco, party food and drinks, a visit from Santa with a gift for all the kids, fun and and games and a raffle with top quality prizes.

The Future of Diabetes: Join the Big Conversation Survey

Diabetes UK want you to tell us what it’s like to live with diabetes now, and how you hope this will change in the future. We want to hear from you if you have diabetes, if you’re a parent of a child with diabetes, or if you’re a carer for someone with diabetes.

Your views will help us make sure we’re fighting for the issues that matter to people affected by diabetes. And will help us campaign to make sure the government and NHS are giving people the care they need now and in the future.

We’ll publish our findings in a report called The Future of Diabetes which we’ll launch on World Diabetes Day, 14 November 2017.

At the end of the survey you’ll have the chance to enter into the prize draw and be in with a chance of winning one of five £50 Tesco vouchers kindly donated by Tesco. The survey will take no longer than 10 minutes to complete.

Please click here: http://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/YKNLX/

Survey closes on 31 August 2017.
